Immediate and Same-Day Care

After Hours Care or Immediate Care at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center locations is different than emergency medical services.

Immediate Care addresses common conditions and uncomplicated illnesses such as:

  • Cold and flu symptoms, including cough and sore throat (currently via telehealth)
  • Sinus, ear and bladder infections
  • Insect bites
  • Minor burns
  • Lab tests including pregnancy, strep and flu
  • Immunizations and physicals
  • Preventative health care services 
  • Minor cuts and abrasions
  • Minor burns and rashes 
  • Insect and animal bites
  • Minor strains and sprains
  • Suspected broken bones or dislocations
  • Sexually transmitted or urinary infections

Be sure to verify your insurance network coverage, benefits, co-pays and deductibles, and provide your health insurance card at the visit.
